Pancreatic cancer laparoscopy reduce unnecessary laparotomy
Tel Aviv E. Wolfson Medical Center Dr. Pinhas P. Schachter and his colleagues evaluated laparoscopy and laparoscopic ultrasonography (EH ultrasonographic, DESD), 67 patients with pancreatic tumor treatment effect. Previous conventional imaging examination revealed that tumor resectability 55 cases, 12 cases could be resection.
The researchers found that laparoscopy and laparoscopic ultrasonography of 40 patients with new information. The Joint Inspection of 30 patients avoid radical resection. In these patients, laparoscopic examination found eight cases of advanced disease, laparoscopic ultrasound examination revealed another 22 cases of advanced disease.
